PNEUMATIC PINCH VALVES USED IN SINGLE-USE TFF SYSTEMS

Increasing health concerns and innovations in the pharmaceutical industries are driving the global biopharmaceutical market. Single-use Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems are among the most popular equipment used in bioprocessing industries, used as a rapid and efficient method for separation and purification of biomolecules. They can be applied to a wide range of biological fields such as immunology, protein chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology. Single-use bioreactors can be segmented according to product type, end user industries, cell type, and molecule type.

To accommodate a wide variety of needs, Bimba | Acro developed the 900-Series Pneumatic pinch valve: a robust valve that offers reliability and great performance. This series is ideal when working with harder or larger diameter tubing that requires higher pinch forces. Valves are available in aluminum and stainless steel depending on the customer’s application requirements.

900-Series valves are designed for disposable tubing and contain an easy snap-in tube slot for quick loading and unloading. For cost and weight savings, the two larger sizes are also available as hybrid models, combining a stainless steel pinch head with an aluminum actuator. Each valve can be configured with optional state sensors and controllers; they can be panel- or base-mounted. Optional safety caps are also available on certain models to address operational hazards.

Potential Applications:

  • Automated Filling Systems
  • Epoxy Dispensing Equipment
  • Food and Beverage Dispensing
  • Medical Devices (dispensing)
  • Medical Instruments
  • Tangential Flow Filtrations (TFF) in Bio-Processing
  • Paint Dispensing
  • Pharmaceutical Process Skids
