Aluminum Extrusion for Clean Rooms

PennAir provides manufacturers with advanced high-quality clean room construction designs and builds with aluminum extrusion.

Rigid and Modular Cleanroom Solutions

With Extruded Aluminum

A cleanroom is a controlled environment where pollutants like dust, airborne microbes, and aerosol particles are filtered out. They are crucial in industries where these external contaminants can ruin products, affect product quality, or harm people.

Cleanrooms are the backbone of some critical industries, such as Pharmaceuticals, Medical, Electronics, Aerospace, Research Centers, Military, and more. Without cleanrooms our lives would look very different. Imagine buying a brand new laptop that broke as soon as you powered it on because the internal circuitry was compromised due to particle contamination during manufacturing. Or eating food covered in unknown germs. Or taking medications that have been compromised.

PennAir Aluminum Extrusion is here to help meet the ever growing demand for clean room manufacturing.

Why Aluminum Extrusion for Clean Rooms?

Because, why not?

Using extruded aluminum makes clean room strong, durable, but also easily modifiable to fit current and future needs. PennAir’s Aluminum Extrusion division assists with product selection and purchasing, designing and building. The clean room arrives at the facility in pre-assembled sections that easily go together on-site. This means the clean room will be functional and ready for use within hours of receiving it.

The Benefits of Aluminum Extrusion

Ideal for clean room structures

Extruded Aluminum is the perfect framework of a clean room. The proprietary combination of slotted and threaded sides has proven incredibly versatile for containment ceiling panels, vertical panels, containment walls, doors and more.

PennAir provides aluminum profiles, or bars, that are modular in design making it the perfect solution for Clean Rooms.

Thermal Conductors

Aluminum conducts heat and cold better than other common metals, making extrusion ideal for applications requiring heat exchangers or heat dissipation.

Easy Assembly

With it’s modular design, all that is needed are simple hand tools — no welding required. T-slot profiles are strong and modular and adjustments and assembly are straightforward and fast.

Corrosion Resistant

Aluminum Extrusion offers excellent corrosion resistance. All materials have a clear anodized coating for increased corrosion and wear resistance. It does not rust.

Resilient

Aluminum combines strength with flexibility and can flex under loads, or spring back from the shock of impact, which is why extruded components are used in automotive crash management systems.

Sustainable & Lightweight

Aluminum is recyclable, with no degradation in properties. Aluminum Extrusions are often produced with a high recycled content — without compromise to aesthetics or functionality. Aluminum is about 1/3 the weight of steel, iron, brass, and copper.

Easily Tailored

While there are a variety of standard extrusion profiles available, the ability to design a profile to meet specific functional, aesthetic, and manufacturability objectives, makes Aluminum Extrusion a preferred element in many product solutions.

Thermal & Electrical Conductivity

Aluminum is an excellent conductor of both heat and cold, making it ideal for a variety of industrial products. Aluminum’s low density also makes it an excellent conductor of electricity.

Noncombustible & Nontoxic

Aluminum does not burn and even at extremely high temperatures does not produce toxic fumes.
